Typical 1940 Deep Sampler

The picture shows the three types of subsurface samplers used in applications from a few feet to those that can be used to depths of 200 ft. All three use vacuum & pressure, vacuum to gather the sample, pressure to extract the sample at depth. The 1940 and 1942 incorporate a Stainless Steel check valve between the porous cup sampling section and the body reservoir. In the 1920 sampled solution goes directly into the body reservoir
